University of Minnesota kidney donor study published in the New England Journal of Medicine
A University of Minnesota study of some 3700 kidney donors since 1963 found that the life expectancy of donors is similar to that of most people. Also, donors have an excellent quality of life. Click here to read the abstract from the New England Journal of Medicine, published on January 29, 2009.
